PIN PUNCH

WHAT IS PIN PUNCH?

It is a cylindrical or cone shaped tool for removing pins, connecting members in a structure or machine or a punch used to dislodge rivets and pins.

WHAT IS THE MAIN USE OF PIN PUNCH?

Pin punch is use to remove the pin which is made up of metals from the wooden holes with the help of a starter punch. Metal pins are made lose and then with the help of pin punch the pins are removed from the hole. It has parallel shank and does not have any pointed end like center punch has.

This punch is also used to remove pins from a chain and for this purpose the diameter and the length of the shank are compatible with the pin dimensions. Normally the diameter of the punch needs to be slightly less than that of the pin and the pin hole and the chain links need to be kept on a surface which is hard but has a hole beneath the place where the pin would slip out.
